Bacon-Infused White Asparagus
OK, so we don’t really know how to infuse vegetables with bacon flavor, but this really tastes like it was. Pictured here with roasted carrots.
Ingredients:
1 bunch white asparagus
Olive oil
Salt and white pepper
Applewood chips
Equipment:
Pressure smoker such as InstaPot or Emson Pressure Smoker
Directions:
Preheat oven to Lo Broil.
Trim ends off the white asparagus, then place in baking dish.
Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and white pepper.
Place in oven for about 10 min or until the ends are just starting to blacken.
Place applewood chips and 1 cup water in the bottom of your pressure smoker.
Move asparagus to the top tray of pressure smoker and hot smoke for 10 min.
