Hot Crackers

So, we weren’t too sure about trying this recipe. But, Alton Brown defended and praised his hot saltine cracker recipe so much that we had to try it. And… he was right. They are addictive. You want them.

Ingredients:

  • ½ pack saltine crackers (we like Nabisco Premium)

  • 2 Tbs Ghee clarified butter (we like Organic Valley)

  • 1 Tbs hot sauce (we like Texas Pete Original)

  • 1 tsp dry mustard (we like Colman’s)

  • Fish dip (we like salmon or whitefish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  2. Melt ghee in microwave, then add hot sauce and dry mustard.

  3. Place crackers, then wet ingredients, into a Ziplock bag and shake until covered.

  4. Line a baking sheet with non-stick foil, then lay out covered crackers.

  5. Cook for 8 minutes at 350F, then remove from oven.

  6. Top with a cool salmon or whitefish dip and enjoy!
